  • Host A Lunch & Learn At Your Firm or Legal Department

The "Business Case" for Healthy Lawyers

Does your legal team or law firm members and staff want to turn their health around in 2022? Are members of your staff or legal teams desire to learn more about the "Plaint-based Lifestyle Medicine" to combat unhealthy work related habits and disease? Alternatively, ,if you have members of your team that may be suffering from what are considered the top killers of those in the legal profession: 1) heart disease, 2) cancer and 3) suicide/depression, we invite you to host a Healthy Lawyers Lunch & Learn at your organization.

Mental health problems are common in the legal profession, along with chronic diseases that are stress related diseases. However, research has shown that lawyers are prone to stress-related illnesses, including burnout, insomnia, clinical depression, gambling addiction, and substance abuse.1 In a 1990 study, researchers at Johns Hopkins University found that lawyers had three times the rate of clinical depression compared to professionals in 25 other occupations. Further research has shown that approximately 15 percent of lawyers will encounter some form of depression during their careers.2 In a study of more than 2,500 lawyers in North Carolina, one out of every four attorneys reported clinical symptoms of depression—such as loss of appetite, lethargy, suicidal thoughts, or insomnia—at least three times a month during the past year.3 Surveys reveal that as many as 18 percent of lawyers will develop problems related to substance abuse, compared to approximately 10 to 11 percent of the general population.

The Healthy Lawyers CHIP program is a comprehensive evidence based plant-based lifestyle medicine intervention program that utilizes lifestyle interventions and plant-based dietary practices to provide a wholistic approach to improving health both mind and body.

Contact Healthy Lawyers to schedule a Healthy Lawyers Chip program so that your professionals can get the evidence and the tools that will help them prevent, arrest and even reverse most chronic diseases and reduce or eliminate the severity communicably viral diseases "NATURALLY".

The Healthy Lawyers Chip program is supported by our partner the Lifestyle Medicine Institute which has provided proven results for over 50,000 people around the world. Healthy Lawyers CHIP stands for the:
